Denver Post Showcases RedLine's Satellite Studio: Evans School
From Denver to Trinidad, RedLine is the proud steward of affordable satellite studio spaces that keep artists living and working in Colorado.
The Denver Post recently highlighted the vibrant world of one of our satellite studio locations: Evans School!
Evans School is a former elementary school, built in 1904. Denver Post writer Ray Mark Rinaldi visited Evans School to meet many of the Denver artists operating out of the studios—most of whom are RedLine Resident Alumni.
Rinaldi got a firsthand look at the creative scene housed within these historic walls, hearing stories and experiencing the dynamic talents of the many artists housed there. Since working with developers and other community stakeholders to subsidize the space for local artists, our Evans School satellite studios have hosted 50 Colorado artists.
The article also explores the potential sale of Evans School, sparking conversations about what the future holds for this cherished space.
Over the past weekend, RedLine hosted an art sale at the Evans School, aiming to secure funds to support the continued availability of this space for artists in the coming years.
The sale is ongoing until June 2nd, 2024, with appointments available for interested buyers.
