About 48 Hours
48 Hours of Socially Engaged Art & Conversation Summit is an annual two-day summit and celebration that engages cultural organizations, non-profits, artists, and individuals to share their expertise on cultural responsiveness, social responsibility, and collective leadership.
What is Roots Radical?
Roots Radical is RedLine’s 2022-2023 Exhibition Program, which kicks off during the 48 Hours summit.
Perceptions of Indigeneity are often formed by dominant or white-supremacist narratives and/or perceptions vs the realities and experiences of thriving, living cultures.
Roots Radical explores the idea of Indigeneity and reclaiming one's connection to ancestral roots across the world. This includes all artists who share Indigenous ancestry from any country where colonialism disrupted their sense of cultural identity and ancestral knowledge/expression.
