48 Hours of Socially Engaged Art & Conversation Summit
RedLine is excited to announce the 7th annual 48 Hours of Socially-Engaged Art & Conversation Summit, which will be held on August 13 & 14, 2021. Inspired by the Imagine2020 Cultural Plan, this summit aims to promote positive social change through creativity and social engagement. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, RedLine will present virtual and in-person content. As in previous years, both the summit and exhibition will center around RedLine’s annual theme, which for 2021 is Afrofuturism & Beyond. Within this thematic frame, RedLine is thrilled to welcome both local and national collaborators, speakers, artists and scholars to collaborate and co-create on this shared platform.
The summit and exhibition will take place at RedLine Contemporary Art Center with some components streamed virtually on RedLine’s Facebook and Instagram pages. All programming is free and open to all. Registration is encouraged and some programming will require pre-registration when attendance is capped. Registration is open on RedLine’s website.
Feel free to come and go as you like throughout the weekend. Please visit our 48 Hours program page for an updated schedule and presenter information.
