About WET PAINT Denver
WET PAINT is a traveling art show by graffiti legends Dave Persue and Wane One that capture the palpable tension between the MTA and graffiti writers in New York City. When the authorities clean up subway station graffiti by painting over it, they routinely hang a “Wet Paint” sign.
Persue pulled down hundreds of these signs and sent them to artists around the world. Each artist made their sign uniquely beautiful, and through these collaborations, WET PAINT: A Persue and Wane1 Artshow was born!
WET PAINT has brought exhibitions worldwide to art capitals including New York, Philly, Tokyo, Shanghai, Miami, Atlanta, and Winnipeg. In collaboration with DENVER WALLS, we’re thrilled to add Denver to this incredible list!
