Moveable Feast

Moveable Feast was a 5 month project in 2017 that used food and art as vehicles for community dialogue around displacement and greater connectivity in our neighborhood of Five Points.

In My Backyard

In support of the tiny home movement for neighbors that need a safe and legal place to rest, In My Backyard was a 2018 Creative Place-Keeping Project aimed to shift our community’s perspective to see all neighbors as sisters and brothers. regardless of housing status.

Re/Call

Re/Call was a 3-day art extravaganza and campout at the the Rocky Mountain Land Library in 2018 that featured exhibitions, programs, performances, and more.

Play Space

Recognizing the importance of creative childhood play, a lack of safe public spaces for some Five Points children, and a need for community activation of Denver’s oldest park—Mestizo-Curtis Park—Play Space engaged the Five Points community in creative play activities led by local artists.

Living Land and Place Acknowledgement

Conceived and directed by Kristina Maldonado Bad Hand, a Sicangu Lakota and Cherokee artist, our Living Land Acknowledgement process responds to the need to acknowledge stolen Indigenous land and honor Indigenous people through art and community gardens, while meeting the needs of local BIPOC communities for healthy food options.
