About Memento Amore

What does one do to stay present?

We spend our days navigating an overwhelm of information and provocation. From rumors to memories, our minds wrestle with internal and external narratives, trying to make sense of our experiences so we can make sense of ourselves.

How much time do you spend each day dwelling on the past, or reaching toward the future? Perplexed by the vicissitude of life?

Memento Amore is about the process of intentional memory making to stay grounded in the present. It’s about marking individual moments; making up a vastness that is both larger than us and holds us in it. It’s about art making as a tool to meet yourself over and over again in the present—the only time and place where we truly exist.
