2022 Annual Youth Art Exhibition
Experience the creative projects of our EPIC Arts & Art Mentoring Youth Artists. On display May 21-June 2.
Opening reception Saturday, May 28, 1-3pm at RedLine!
About the Exhibition
This exhibition is a culmination of art from youth who participated in RedLine’s Youth Art Mentoring and EPIC Arts Education programs.
Throughout their experience in these programs, students reflected on topics pertaining to social justice and advocacy, shedding light on issues they deem important.
You’ll find diverse mediums that inspire you to learn more about these issues and think critically about your experiences from a different perspective.
Youth were encouraged to be agents of change in their communities. Here’s what they have to say!
About Youth Art Mentoring at RedLine
The Youth Art Mentoring program at RedLine uses one-on-one mentoring to provide a safe environment for students to explore the arts while creating connections with a trusted adult figure.
Selected students have the opportunity to work with a professional artist to create a project that investigates social justice issues. The program gives students a practical way to approach the world with the inquiring mind of an artist.
RedLine currently offers Youth Art Mentoring at Whittier ECE-8 School and Bruce Randolph Middle School for students in grades 5-8.
By developing artistic process and skills of inquiry, students are able to create art that has social impact and become advocates in uplifting issues in their communities.

About the EPIC Arts Program at RedLine
RedLine’s EPIC Arts Program challenges the current educational pedagogy in order to create room for students’ voices through contemporary art.
Each semester, RedLine Resident Artists and Denver community artists are matched with educators and students, resulting in a unique student-generated art collaboration.
This semester-long project is designed to engage K-12th grade students living in underserved communities who would otherwise have limited or no access to inclusive or affirming arts education.
EPIC provides opportunities for students to explore and express social issues through offering an opportunity for them to express their unique perspectives and ideas about today’s world.
