Winter Youth Exhibition 2022

December 2020 - January 2021

This exhibition featured the works of students and mentors who participated in RedLine’s youth education programs this past winter. Combining the works of ArtCorps Mentoring and EPIC Arts, this exhibition invited students and participating artist mentors to showcase some of the projects they’ve been working on throughout the pandemic. While COVID-19 has greatly impacted students and programming, they have been able to continue their creative processes over the summer and into the fall semester.

ArtCorps Mentoring

Through ArtCorps Mentoring, students in grades 5-8 at Bruce Randolph and Whittier ECE-8 Schools are matched with artist mentors. The pairs work together throughout the school year on various projects. These activities and works are exploratory and process based in order to help students begin to practice other mediums and express various ideas and themes. In the spring, students and mentors will have a complete exhibition that will feature their socially engaged projects.
