He/Him
Mark Woolcott (b.1971) is cross-disciplinary photographer and videographer. His work integrates commercial, industrial, lifestyle and artistic portraiture.
Mark graduated from the University of Wyoming in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Education. For the next 15 years he worked as a public educator teaching at-risk youth.
By weaving a complex matrix of English Literacy, art education, and portfolio presentations, Mark’s students gained an early glimpse into the workings of the professional world.
After leaving the world of education his literary journey continued, and Mark produced engaging features for a variety of magazines around the Rocky Mountain Region. His photographs and narrative shared a common space within the covers of these magazines.
Moving from the editorial world to the commercial world was a natural progression. Mark’s personal artistic and environmental portrait work served brands and businesses looking to increase their visibility. With artist Steven J. Yazzie, Mark Woolcott co-founded the creative group Slim Feather.
Together, they create stunning visual content for advertising agencies that further blurs the lines between art and commercial photography/videography.
Mark has produced work for companies and groups such as: University of Denver, Hind, Coleman, Shea Homes, LUXE Magazine, Janus Capital Group, Denver Art Museum, Denver Public Schools, Vail Resorts, FMC Technologies, Canary Energy Group, USA Cycling and the VF Corporation. He lives and works from his home base in Denver, Colorado.
