Lowry Elementary School

Carolyn Lohr is a first-grade teacher at Lowry Elementary School. She is also a local actress and singer and is passionate about political action and social justice. Carolyn feels that the EPIC program is the perfect opportunity to blend all of these passions and introduce them to her classroom of 28 eager young activist artists! Last year, Carolyn participated in the program, along with her second graders at Kunsmiller Creative Arts Academy, to produce an anti-bullying music video, "Be the Hero!" She hopes that by participating again this year, her students will feel the necessity of artistic expression, especially during this most challenging time. Carolyn would like to thank everyone involved in making this important work, particularly Gerry Malowayi, JC Futrell, THE KIDS, and their parents!
