Joliet Learning Center

Vanessa Quintana is an artist and National Board Certified educator teaching art at The Joliet Learning Center. She serves as Past President of the Colorado Art Education Association. Vanessa lectures and serves on multiple district, state, and national committees addressing Visual Arts Quality Standards, Educator Effectiveness, and Evaluation Systems. She served as National Art Education Association Pacific Region Secondary Director, recent NAEA Pacific Region VP nominee, and panelist for NEA Art Education Grants. Vanessa received her Master’s degree from the University of Northern Colorado. Her award winning service, teaching, and research focus includes phenomenology, authentic learning experiences, classroom management, and brain based research.
