McMeen Elementary School

Emilee Claypool is a visual arts educator at McMeen Elementary in Denver Public Schools. ​Her educational background extends from teaching in general education in Los Angeles, teaching English in China & Spain, and currently teaching visual arts in public schools in Denver. Emilee has earned an BA in Spanish and Studio Arts from the University

of Iowa. She also earned a Master’s of Multicultural Education & Social Justice from UCLA. She is passionate about teaching visual arts with an emphasis on community-based arts and social justice
