Academy of Urban Learning

Michael Al-jiboori is a professional rugby player who got his start at the University of Oklahoma in 2011. He graduated in 2015 and has spent the past three seasons at the Denver Barbarians, who were crowned division two national champions last season. He is currently teaching art at The Academy of Urban Learning and enjoys creative writing and visual art. His passion for social justice and youth advocacy can be summed up by the following, “Projects like Epic really show and prove to students that they do have a voice, and all you need is a few good ideas and some art to express yourself.”
